Design and development of Encerta!, a real-time interactive quiz platform built for Catalan schools as an accessible alternative to commercial solutions such as Kahoot.
The project was created with a clear goal: to make modern classroom technology simple and accessible for teachers. Students can join a live quiz from any device by entering a six-character PIN, with no account creation or app installation required. Teachers remain in full control of each session, viewing answers in real time while a dynamic scoring system rewards both speed and accuracy.
Behind the scenes, a fully custom super-admin dashboard provides complete control over the platform. Administrators can manage users, define usage limits for each subscription plan, assign ambassador roles, handle contact requests, and configure SMTP and analytics settings without requiring new deployments.
The entire platform has been developed from the ground up using Laravel, with real-time WebSocket communication powered by Laravel Reverb and a responsive user interface built with Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS. The architecture has been designed with a strong focus on security, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
